Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon reacts to Eminem’s Kamikaze collaboration. Vernon is featured in “Fall” a new song from Eminem’s upcoming album, Kamikaze.
“Fall” is not a sweet tune about the lovely fall season that is swiftly approaching. On the song, Eminem is taking shots at other rappers, including Tyler, the Creator. Eminem rapped, “Tyler create nothin’, I see why you called yourself a “f****t, bitch.” Vernon has reacted to the explicit lyrics in the song on Twitter.
He tweeted: “Was not in the studio for the Eminem track…came from a track session with BJ Morton and Mike Will. Not a fan of the message, it’s tired. Asked them to change the track, wouldn’t do it.”
Was not in the studio for the Eminem track… came from a session with BJ Burton and Mike Will. Not a fan of the message, it’s tired. Asked them to change the track, wouldn’t do it. Thanks for listening to BRM https://t.co/E0wmt732ty

Although Vernon agrees that Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time, he said in a follow-up tweet: “This is not the time to criticize youth, it’s the time to listen. To act. It is certainly not the time for slurs.” He made the final decision and said that the track will be cut from the album.
Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time , there is no doubt. I have and will respect that. Tho, this is not the time to criticize Youth, it’s the time to listen. To act. It is certainly not the time for slurs. Wish they would have listened when we asked them to change it
