Pearl Jam had covered “We’re Going to Be Friends” just under a week ago at a show in their hometown of Seattle, and now ex-White Stripe Jack White has returned the favor in a Seattle show of his own. The frontman surprised audiences by cracking open a rendition of Pearl Jam’s “Daughter,” a rock radio staple from their 1993 album Vs.

Some of you may be saying, however, “that’s great, but how am I going to check it out? As far as I know, Jack White requires his audiences to lock their phones away!” Well worry not, a determined fan has found a way to get past this little bump in the road.

Jack White, throughout this tour, has had his audiences put their phones in a Yondr Pouch (a mandatory smart phone bag that maintains locked throughout the show) to prevent attendees from staring at their phones or disturbing others with recordings. However, the uploader of the clip, Vurs Wahflez, found a way to record the song through the pouch. “Sorry for the quality, Forced to put my phone in a bag,” writes the committed taper.
