As I Lay Dying Upgrading to Larger Venues After Selling Out Dates on Comeback Tour

Seems rock band As I Lay Dying have underestimated their star power. After recently announcing their first proper world tour in years beginning this fall in North America, the band is drawing massive appeal overseas. According to Loudwire, the European leg has been “exceeding demand,” and have sold out many venues, making the band upgrade to larger venues to accommodate more fans. The band tweeted a statement regarding the upgraded venues, saying “Europe: please note some venues have been upgraded due to high demand. These shows are selling fast – get your tickets now.” The larger venues have yet to be announced. See the tweet below.

The band recently performed their first show in five years in San Diego, CA, performing new and old songs the band has done throughout the years. All of the original members also sat down discussing why they reunited with the formerly-incarcerated frontman Tim Lambesis. Lambesis was put in jail after being arrested for hiring a hitman to kill his wife.

Guitarist Phil Sgrosso was puzzled about the potential of reuniting the band after Lambesis was released from prison. “So when I heard that you were getting out of jail. All of us were just on edge. Our community was on edge of just like ‘What is this guy going to be up to, now?’ Now, they are back by overwhelming demand.
