The Smashing Pumpkins with Metric @ The Forum 8/30 & 8/31

The Smashing Pumpkins will be having two performances at The Forum as part of their Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour. The alternative rock band will be joined by Canadian rock band Metric on both nights. The performances will take place on Thurs. August 30th and Fri. August 31st at 7:00 PM. Tickets for the show on Thursday start at $150 while tickets for the Friday show start at $29.

After a long 20 years without a tour with the band’s founding members, The Smashing Pumpkins are back on the road this year and scheduled to perform at 36 different cities. Singer Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha, guitarist Jeff Schroeder, and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin will be putting on a show for these two nights in Inglewood, California. The band has also recently performed in New Jersey to celebrate their 30th anniversary. With that said, the band has a lengthy list of songs to choose from to perform on the road. Out of their entire discography the band has chosen 27 songs to perform along with 5 covers on this particular tour.

Metric the band will be opening up for The Smashing Pumpkins on this tour. This band serves as a perfect opener because of their soft synthesizer sounds. The band will offer fans a different take on rock music before the rock veterans take the stage. For those interested, Metric’s new album is slated to be releasing very soon on September 21st. Make sure you purchase the fast-selling tickets to see these two exceptional bands on either of these special nights.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
