The Indie Rock band from Cleveland, Cloud Nothings are back revealed today that, Last Building Burning, the band’s fifth full-length studio album is set to come out October 19th via Carpark Records. The record is the follow-up to their 2017’s Life Without Sound which was produced by John Goodmanson (Death Cab for Cutie, Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney).
Dylan Baldi, the singer, and founder of the band had this to say about the making of Last Building Burning, “I’m obsessed with the idea of energy at the moment. That’s how I thought of this record: seven short, and one long, bursts of intense, controlled chaos. I wanted to make that come across in a way that can actually be felt.”
Today, also sees the four-piece sharing a new song off the album titled, “The Echo Of The World.” Stream the new track down below. According to the press release, the new song “sees the band playing at their most furious pace to date, curating an unhinged, guitar-heavy sound that positions them as the torchbearers of the rapid-fire rock of the past, all while paving their own lane to success.” The song is the band’s dive into a heavier sound with a heavy dose of guitar and attitude.
