Musack 8th Annual Rock n’ Roll Carnival @ Hancock Park 8/25

The Musack charity will be hosting its eighth annual Rock n Roll Carnival on Sat. August 25th. The notable charity created by Hollywood executive, Donick Cary, will be donating all profits to its efforts to support music education. The music festival will take place in Cary’s backyard in Hancock Park and will go on from 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Admission prices for the event vary depending on the ticket package. General admission is $175, VIP (includes a gift, dinner, and VIP bar) is $400, and Kids (under 12) tickets are $40. The 10 hour event will feature various iconic artists and celebrities.

The environment at the carnival will be flooded with tons of activities and great music. Performances will include sounds from DJ Questlove, Flavor Flav, Mexican Institute of Sound, The Aquabats!, Tim Armstrong, The Curse (featuring Lol from the Cure), Money Mark, Matt Pinfield, Mike Krol and Allison Crutchfield, Double Helix with, Gerald Casale of Devo, Harvey Sid Fisher’s Astrology Songs, Lou Man Group, The Faux Fighters, L7’s Donita Sparks DJ Set, and some special surprise guests yet to be announced. Attendees will be able to purchase food from various establishments including, Chisme Tortilleria, Salud Juice, and Collage Coffee. In regard to beverages and dessert, there will be Musack beer from Fall Brewing Company, wine, specialty cocktails, and Musack sundaes from Jeni’s Ice Cream.

Ever since its foundation in 2009, Musack has been aiming to provide the less fortunate with music. Its mission is to “give kids and teens a voice through music by providing guitars, drums, and support for music teachers – wherever the need arises.” These ongoing Rock n Roll Carnivals have played a huge part in Musack’s goals and have helped fund programs in other countries like Haiti, Australia, and Cuba. So make sure you take the time to donate to a good cause and attend this remarkable event full of festivities.

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business.
