Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson Show Cancelled Due to Venue Flooding

Since publicly squashing their feud, shock and awe legend Rob Zombie and the Antichrist Superstar himself Marilyn Manson have embarked on their second “Twins of Evil” tour over this past summer. However, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows (though perhaps sunshine and rainbows isn’t really their aesthetic anyway).

Just last night (Aug. 7), their Jones Beach Theater stop of the Twins of Evil: The Second Coming tour was cancelled due to harsh weather conditions. The New York area show was originally just delayed due to the dangerous weather, but as the night deepened and rain continued to pour, the venue put out the dreaded notice to cancel the show at 10 P.M.

According to several Instagram posts by fans, the severe rain, thunder, and lightning even led to the floor of the theater being flooded.

Rob Zombie shared a statement on Facebook about the cancelled show:

We’re really sorry folks that the show at Jones Beach, Wantagh NY, was cancelled tonight due to the extremely bad weather. I’m guessing we’re gonna have to make some extra sacrifices to the rain gods to plead with them to stop screwing with our shows. Please see below a note from tonight’s venue and follow them and your ticket point of purchase to be updated on refunds. Sorry again.

As seen in Zombie’s post, this hasn’t been the only hiccup along the way. On July 26 in Toronto, Manson didn’t perform due an “unforeseen illness” that turned out to be the flu. And earlier that month, in Bristow, VA, a performance was postponed, also due to weather.
