Longtime AC/DC Members Phil Rudd and Brian Johnson Have Been Spotted Together at the Band’s Longtime Recording Studio

Rumors have been circulating among rock heads that the classic lineup of AC/DC may be joining together again to work on new music, including former frontman Brian Johnson and former drummer Phil Rudd, when the two were spotted together in Vancouver outside the city’s Warehouse Studios, where the band recorded all of their albums over the last two decades or so.

Back in 2015, Rudd departed from the Australian legends following an incident in 2014 when the drummer was charged for attempting to procure murder, threatening to kill and possession of meth and cannabis. The year after, Johnson took an exit mid-tour after being diagnosed with serious hearing issues that could have potentially lead to complete deafness.

Axl Rose had stepped up to the plate to take Johnson’s role as the vocalist, assisting the band in completing the tour, to much huzzah from fans. Some had speculated that Rose may remain in AC/DC, but if the rumors are correct, perhaps Johnson has taken back his position as frontman.

The photo, posted on Twitter by The Georgia Straight, shows Rudd and Johnson relaxing outside of the studio. Though there is no evidence so far that the two have rejoined the band, it seems that they are cooking up something.

The Straight claims that it was contacted by a local who spoke to Stevie Young – the nephew of guitarist Angus Young and replacement rhythm guitarist for Malcolm Young after Malcolm had to leave due to health issues.

“The guy tells me that he had a quick chat with a couple of members of AC/DC in downtown Vancouver this morning,” The Straight’s Steve Newton claimed.

Although no signs of Angus have been spotted amidst the Vancouver crew yet, perhaps there may be more to come.
