Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has announced a headlining North American tour this fall. The tour will be the latest installment of the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour and follows a few headlining and festival performances in Asia and Europe, including Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival, and France’s Rock en Seine festival. The tour is slated to kick off October 10th in Montreal and will include stops in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Boston before concluding in Silver Spring, MD November 17th. Tickets for the tour will go on sale Friday at 10 am local time at mikeshinoda.com and outbreakpresents.com. Citi Cardmembers will get access to a presale beginning Tuesday, August 7th at 10 am local time along with other special presales set to begin that day. See the full list of tour dates below.
The tour is in support of Shinoda’s latest solo venture Post-Traumatic and will be his first headlining solo tour. In a press release, the will also feature art pieces Shinoda created while writing and recording Post Traumatic as a special treat for fans. Shinoda says in a statement “Listening to a recorded song is not the same as experiencing that song live on stage.” Similarly, seeing a painting in an album or book is not the same as seeing the original, in person. In sharing a live experience with you, my hope is to inspire questions, answers, and reflection—not only about my story, but about your own. The search for meaning is boundless, and art is often one of our best vehicles.”
Shinoda was also recently announced to perform at the Deftones new inaugural music festival “Dia De Los Deftones” alongside Future, Rocket from the Crypt, and Doja Cat to name a few.
