Fresh on the heals of their summer tour, Dean Ween have announced additional dates scheduled for the fall.
The band’s sophomore album, rock2, came out earlier this year as limited editions of 180 gram colored vinyl and a specially colored CD, as well as digital. The new album was recorded at his studio in Lambertville, NJ.
Michael Melchiondo, Jr, better known as Dean Ween or The Deaner, formed DWG after the temporary break up of Ween nearly four years ago to get back into live performance. In 2016 DWG released their debut album, The Deaner Album. Recorded in several locations, it was later completed in his Lambertville studio.
The Deaner has contributed to numerous projects with his friend Josh Homme including albums by Queens of the Stone Age, Mark Lanegan and The Desert Sessions. He as also worked with Yoko Ono and Ben Vaughn. In addition, he hosts a weekly “Invitational Jam” where musicians can sign up to perform with the house band at a place called John & Peters in New Hope, PA. As if all this weren’t enough, Dean holds a captain’s license and runs his own charter fishing company in Belmar, NJ.
Dean is best known as half of the band Ween. The band Ween was formed in 1984 when Dean and Gene were in middle school. The band released nine studio albums before going on a brief hiatus in 2012 only to reunite four nears later.
