Cypress Hill Announces New Album Elephants On Acid For Fall 2018 Release

West Coast rap pioneers, Cypress Hill, will release their new album, Elephants On Acid, this fall. According to Brooklyn Vegan, the album was produced by the band’s own, DJ Muggs, and is their first release since 2010’s Rise Up.

California brothers, Senen Reyes ( Sen Dog) and Ulpiano Sergio Reyes (Mellow Man Ace), formed a hip-hop group in the late 80s after teaming up with DJ/Producer, Lawrence Muggerud (DJ Muggs). When Mellow Man Ace left the group to go solo, the remaining members changed their name to Cypress Hill and have since released several platinum and multi-platinum albums. Current members include Sen Dog, DJ Muggs, frontman B-Real and percussionist Eric Bobo.

The group will kick of their fall tour with a performance at this year’s Riot Fest in Chicago. Honoring the Riot Fest tradition of full-album plays, Cypress Hill will perform their 1993 release, Black Sunday, in it’s entirety. This year marks the 25th anniversary of their triple platinum selling album featuring the hit “Insane In The Membrane.”
