Charli XCX is at it again with another amazing piece of music that is set to be the number one song of the summer. Titled “Girls Night Out,” the song is a pop masterpiece full of heavy synth, club beats, and some matter-of-fact vocal styles. The way this song came together almost feels as if one has to strut with a group of friends on a night out on the down. The clean kick accompanied with the sparse synth creates a rhythm that almost leads the listener to walk with attitude. About halfway through the song a xylophone-esque instrument comes in with a fun melodic line that leads the music into phase two of the musical masterpiece. The synth changes and it’s almost as if we have all entered a club. Quickly, it changes to soft chords as the song gets ready for the culmination. Th chords drop and all music that was introduced come together into this club music cacophony that’s nearly impossible not to dance to. Check out the song below.
This song is the latest in many summer releases that Charli XCX has created as part of her summer series. Each song has featured different producers and collaborators with this piece produced by SOPHIE and Stargate. This is the fourth installment in her series, following her singles “5 In The Morning,” “No Angel,” and “Focus.”
