Tyler, the Creator and ASAP Rocky released the collaborative track, “Potato Salad,” coupled with a video the rappers filmed in Paris. According to Pitchfork, the artists rap over the 2003 Monica song, “Knock Knock,” produced by Missy Elliott and Kanye West. The tracked was released as part of ASAP’s new video, AWGE DVD Vol. 3, which runs just over 48 minutes and feature cameos by Juliette Lewis and Jaden Smith.

According to Rolling Stone, following “Potato Salad,” the artists let slip a new collaborative project is in the works titled WANGSAP. Additionally, Tyler has released the track, “NAGA,” by $ilkmoney (Divine Council).

The duo have previously worked together on ASAP Mob’s “Telephone Calls” from Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends as well as Tyler’s “Who Dat Boy” from Flower Boy (2017).  ASAP released his third studio album, Testing, last May. During a recent interview with Spin, he speaks modestly about his new album, saying, “I feel like I’m one of the best contemporary artists out right now. My music is ahead of its time. The masses usually catch on two, three, four, five years later.”

Tyler released Cherry Bomb in 2015 followed by Flower Boy in 2017. Pitchfork reports, the artist spoke about writing “Glitter” (off Flower Boy) for Justin Bieber, saying, “I thought he would be so cool doing that, but he didn’t ever return the call, so—fuck it—I was just like, fuck it, I’ll write and just make it cool.”
