Tame Impala and Zhu released the single “My Life” earlier this year and have now premiered the video.
According to Pitchfork, the video directed by American Millennial’s Ben Tan and David Altobelli along with Elliot Sellers, stars Willow Smith as a teenager who has survived a horrific car accident.
The video opens to the sound of sirens and an image of a car accident with two unconscious victims in the back seat. Smith’s character appears, stumbling and bloodied, the sole survivor of the crash. As she walks away from the accident to find help, the video flashes back to happier memories and the events leading up to the accident. Watch the video below.
Tame Impala is a psychedelic rock band led by Australia native, Kevin Parker. The band’s latest album Currents, released in 2015, was well received by critics and received Grammy Award nomination. Parker released the EP Currents B-Sides & Remixes last fall. In March the band released their newest single “My Life,” a collaboration with electronic musician Zhu. After taking a hiatus from performing, Tame Impala returned to the stage with a performance at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. Their first performance on American soil in almost a year.

Willow Smith is an actress and singer and the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith has released two hit singles “Whip My Hair” and “21st Century Girl.” She is currently signed to Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation.
