Rob Zombie has been a part of the heavy metal and filmmaking scene since his solo effort of “Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn) in 1996 with Alice Cooper, which earned him a Grammy nod for best Heavy Metal Performance in the 39th Grammys.
It may have been a while since we have heard anything new from Zombie, but that does not mean he hasn’t been working. In fact, according to The PRP, Rob Zombie has recently acquired a new record deal, this time with Nuclear Blast Records. This deal covers his new album project that will be released in 2019. When talking about the deal he states that “I am very excited to work with the fine folks at Nuclear Blast. The combination of the label’s grassroots urge to get the hustle done mixed with the detonation of our most combustible melodic masterpiece yet should prove to be a winning hybrid of hellacious hullabaloo.”
It seems, that with this new label partnership Rob Zombie is able to get more creative and weird in his music, something that may have not been achievable in his previous record deals with other labels.
Currently, Zombie is officially done with the new album and states it will be released next year. Aside from that, he is currently on tour with Marilyn Manson for the Twins of Evil Tour after squashing the beef with him in 2012 (was there really beef, though?). Lastly, with all this going on, the musician/director hybrid being also directed a full-length film titled 3 From Hell.
Expect the zaniest and, according to Zombie, the band’s “most listenable album” as it borrows the vibes and energy off of Rob Zombie’s favorite Beatles album, the 1968 golden child “The White Album.”
