Twenty One Pilots @ Madison Square Garden 10/30

Twenty One Pilots broke their year long silence in late June after teasing fans on social media with an 8-second long clip of distorted music. The vague hint was finally answered last week when the duo released a whopping new two songs, a music video, an album release date, and a worldwide tour. Clearly, Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph were anything but taking a break over the last year. The Ohio natives will follow up their 2015 album, Blurryface, on October 5 with, Trench, their fifth studio album, featuring the two new singles, “Jumpsuit” and “Nico and the Niners.”

Twenty One Pilots shook the mainstream music scene in 2015 with their popular singles “Stressed Out” and “Ride.” Since, they’ve sold over 7 million copies worldwide of Blurryface, earned a Grammy award for “Stressed Out,” performed on late night shows such as Late Night with Seth Meyers and Saturday Night Live, played major festivals including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and SXSW, and opened for Fall Out Boy with Panic! At The Disco in addition to performing their own five headlining tours. The band got their start in 2009 when they put out their self-titled first album, following it in 2011 with Regional at Best. They were signed to Fueled By Ramen in 2012 where they released their first label debut album, Vessels, in 2013 which was followed by Blurryface two years later.

Dun and Joseph’s success is undeniable, in 2016 becoming only the third rock act to have two singles simultaneously chart in the top 5 of Billboard Hot 100 – joining the ranks of the Beatles and Elvis Presley. And with an incredibly active and devout fan base, Twenty One Pilots seem to have a lot still up their sleeve. Their unique alternative meets hip hop style and insatiably energetic stage presence make Dun and Joseph a duo not to be missed. Catch them this October with supporting acts to be announced. Presale tickets are on sale now, and general on sale begins Friday, July 20.
