Gene Simmons, the man behind the legendary iconic 70s rock band Kiss, found himself between a rock and a hard place late last year. Allegations poured out against Simmons from an on-air personality. A broadcast journalist who wishes to remain anonymous filed the suit against Gene Simmons over alleged behavior towards her during a November 2017 radio interview.

According to The PRP, early this month, July 2nd, a hearing was held about the case. Simmons and the plaintiff announced to the Los Angeles County Supreme Court Judge Daniel S. Murphy that both parties had settled. The case is expected to be dismissed soon although those settlement terms are still unknown. The judge expressed that both sides need to file a request for dismissal to dismiss the case officially.

The suit was filed December 15th, 2017 in the Superior Court of California. According to the plaintiff, who goes by ‘Jane Doe’ during the lawsuit process, met with Simmons at an undisclosed radio station on November 1st. It was there that she talked with Simmons about his restaurant, Rock & Brews. During the interview, Simmons allegedly kept touching her hand and trying to place it on his knee, made sexual innuendos, flicked her throat, and grabbing her butt while taking promotional photos together.

Jane Doe’s attorney, Willie W. Williams expressed the reason the anonymous reporter filed the suit in the first place, according to mxdwn, “She filed suit because she wanted to make a strong statement that this behavior is unacceptable and she wants to see an end to this type of behavior.”

Simmons initially denied the accusations, according to a statement to Pitchfork last year, Simmons said, “Friends, I intend to defend myself against any alleged charges you may have been reading about in the media. For the record, I did not assault the person making these accusations in the manner alleged in the complaint or harm her in any way. I am conferring with my lawyers with the aim of vigorously countering these allegations. And, I look forward to my day in court where the evidence will prove my innocence.”
