The Avalanches are preparing for their third studio album. They announced the news in a tweet earlier this week.
On twitter, they said, “Our third album is taking shape and we can’t wait to share it with you all. It’s already something very special. Love and light, the avalanches.”

This electronic music group announces this album after their last two studio albums, Since I Left You and Wildflower. They have also released live and DJ sets. To play live sets the band uses samplers, analogue keyboards, bass guitar, drums. The live set up of their shows has since changed. Now they use four turntables, a percussion stand and a battery of MIDI- controlled special effects.
Fans took to twitter to comment on the tweet. Some asked the question, @Funkadeefunk: “Is it really an Avalanches record if it doesn’t take another 14 years to be released?”

Since I Left You was considered one of the best albums in the 2000s. Wildflower came later in 2016, but they had been working on it since 2005. This album also received a lot of critical acclaim and subsequent fame. Who knows how long they have been working on this album, but now we know it’s coming!
According to other sources, the group already has a few songs written for the album.
The current line-up of the band includes Robbie Carter, Tony Di Blasi, and those who have come and gone over the years. The Australian group formed in 1997 and has continued to make music since then.
