Mae Re-signs With Longtime Label Tooth & Nails Records

Norfolk, Virginia rock band Mae have re-signed with long tim partners Tooth & Nail Records accompanied by a highly anticipated release on the horizon. The record was produced by lead vocalist Dave Elkins and is expected to be released this fall. Mae released their first two records, Destination: Beautiful and The Everglow as well as a handful of EPs on Tooth & Nail.

The band said of the signing, Tooth & Nail has always supported and encouraged us to manifest our best work. We needed to be with a team that felt like family as we envisioned and embarked on our most ambitious efforts to date.”

Mae made the move from Tooth & Nail to Capitol Records in 2007 and released the record Singularity which performed well on the US rock and top 200 charts. They then released three EP’s on Cell Records and followed those with a full length which was a compilation and collection of the three EP’s. Now with the band back at Tooth & Nail their new album will be released to many clamoring fans as the band has built a following than cannot be matched by most independent bands.

Last week the band released the first single from their forthcoming record called “5 Light Years”. “The most compelling stories invite you into a transformation and reveal a new perspective. In this record we go on a journey from separation to connection. ‘5 Light Years’ takes people into the heart of that story and welcomes them to a new beginning,” MAE shares on the new track.

MAE will be hitting the road for a two-week tour this fall in support of the upcoming record, starting off in Nashville and closing in their home state of Virginia. The band will also be adding in special VIP Mae Day events that will include “a fully immersive experience to engage your whole body and mind into a work of art. It’s a chance for us to build community through the experience and narrative of this album. You are coming to share a meal with the band, acoustic performance, VR one-on-one experience and more for every single person that attends.”
