Ghostland Observatory Announce New Album See You Later Simulator for September 2018 Release

Ghostland Observatory have announced their new album, See You Later Simulator, will be released September 7, via Trashy Moped. The new album will mark the group’s first album in eight years.

According to Vents Magazine, vocalist Aaron Behrens says of the new record’s concept, “I’ve always been on the sci-fi edge of things, which is just a reflection of being a child of the ’80s and growing up with video games and computers, but also remembering a time before those things were common. I think all of that comes into play on this record. It’s a real comment on what’s going on right now, and on trying to figure out what’s reality and what’s a Simulation.”

The Austin Texas duo have four previous studio albums including delete.delete.i.eat.meat (2005), Paparazzi Lightning (2006), Robotique Majestique (2008) and Codename: Rondo (2010).

In April 2013, the group announced a hiatus on their Facebook page, saying, “Yes it is true. We are on hiatus right now. Bathing and relaxing in the cosmos. Rejuvenating our spirits and soaking in the cosmic rays. Much love to all our GLOheads out there. See y’all in the future.”

In addition to the new record. Ghostland has also announced an upcoming tour starting in Tulsa, OK September 26 and concluding in Brooklyn, NY November 10.
