Bad Wolves continue to show support for the family of Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan. The band recently covered The Cranberries’ song “Zombie” which, before her passing, O’Ridoran had planned to re-record the song with the band. The day she was about to record, O’Ridoran sadly passed away. The band later made a statement saying that they would record the song without O’Ridoran and that all of the proceeds from the song “will go to the three children of the late singer.” In a Facebook statement, the band stated:
“We are shocked and saddened at the news of Dolores’s passing, mere hours before she was to record vocals on our upcoming version of Zombie. We have always had deep respect for her as an artist and a vocalist and she was never afraid to bare her soul in her music and lyrics. Zombie is an incredibly personal song and although we are a hard rock band, we always felt the rawness and honesty she projected on stage and in her recordings was something to which all bands should aspire to, regardless of genre. When we heard she liked our version and wanted to sing on it, it was the greatest compliment a new band, or any band for that matter, could have received. Our hearts are broken that we were not able to see this collaboration through and our deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, loved ones and fans in Ireland and around the globe. We hope we can still make her proud by sharing our version of Zombie with the world.”

They released both a studio and acoustic version of the song. The single achieved gold status in the United States, Australia, and Canada and the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 54.
Since the release, the song has made a whopping amount of $250,000. According to the PRP, the band brought her family on stage at their show at The Gramercy Theatre in New York to present them a check for $250,000. See the video below.
