Kurt Vile, former lead guitarist for the rock band The War on Drugs, has announced more campaign tour dates. This winter line up to see one of rock’s most prominent forces. Along with The Violators, Vile’s backing band of Jesse Trbovich, Rob Laasko and Kyle Spence, Vile will tour Europe and then North America. They will continue their work on the non-partisan platform they call rock.
In addition to already announced tour dates and endorsed by Forecastle Fest, Brooklyn Steel, 9:30 Club and more venues, they have added more dates to their tour run. They will play for American crowds starting in November at Boston’s House of Blues and then finishing in December at Chicago’s Riviera theater.
Vile knew from a young age that he was meant to be a musician and spend his life making music and playing for thousands. It is only fitting that he give back in more than just music as well. Vile has recently partnered with PLUS1. For each ticket sold, $1 will be donated to the ACLU to support and defend the work that they are doing for individual rights and liberties.
