Agnes Obel Announces Fall 2018 Tour Dates

The beloved Berlin-based Danish indie folk/singer-songwriter Agnes Obel has just announced a series of live dates across North America for this Fall, following the release of her DJ Mix LateNightTales compilation this past May.

Prior to Late Night Tales, Obel also released her latest full length LP, Citizen of Glass, back in 2016. These new live dates will kick off on September 11th, in Quebec, Canada, and make it’s way into New England, through the Northern Midwest, fly down to California, and then wrap up in the Pacific Northwest with a date in Seattle and finally Portland on September 30. The dates are a mix between several headline dates, and several gigs supporting UK art pop/new wave legends The The.

Obel made her debut in 2010 with the critically well-received Philharmonics, which was even certified Gold in Belgium in June 2011, and won five awards at the 2011 Danish Music Awards that November. The song “Riverside” from the same album since saw prominent use in television, with appearances in “Grey’s Anatomy,” Spike TV’s “The Mist,” the CW crime drama “Ringer,” Netflix’s Brit sitcom “Lovesick” and Aussie dramedy “Offspring.” Obel followed up the success of Philharmonics with 2013’s Aventine, after which came Citizen of Glass.
