Rise Against Gives Down “Like The Angel” an Acoustic Treatment in New Video

Melodic hardcore and pop punk rock veterans Rise Against have previously announced that in their upcoming album Ghost Note Symphonies, Vol. 1, they will be featuring a collection of acoustic or softened, reimagined versions of their songs.

And like they have done for “House on Fire” from their 2017 record Wolves, the band has released new video in which you can hear their performance of the stripped down alternative to a Rise Against classic, “Like The Angel.” The song is the fifth track from their breakthrough sophomore LP Revolutions Per Minute, which previously received the 10th Anniversary Special Edition treatment in 2013.

Previously, in the video for “House on Fire,” the band could be seen performing the song live in the Blasting Room, the studio where they’ve recorded a number of their albums with Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore. This time around, the video is an ambient experience that features a gas-station-adjacent payphone with its receiver/handset out of the socket.

“You’ll find the songs stripped down, with alternate instrumentation, unique orchestration and a surprise or two,” revealed the band while teasing the project. The album is set to drop on July 27.
