According to Spin, the singer known as Moby is selling his entire personal record collection. The sale will occur through the website, Reverb.com and will feature 12”s Moby uses DJ sets that he did in the ‘80s and the ‘90s as well as rare versions of the artist’s releases including promos, test pressings, and signed reissues of Play and 18. Back in April, the DJ and producer auctioned off hundreds of pieces of musical gear off via Reverb that included synthesizers, guitar, and weirdly enough, even sombrero. Fans can purchase Moby’s collection when the official Moby Reverb LP Shop launches this Thursday, June 14th. Check out Moby’s promotional video below.

All proceeds from the sale will help go to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. The committee is helping lead a revolution in medicine by putting a new focus on health and compassion, this according to the website.  Their goal is to empower patients to take control of their own health. Some of their priorities include; shifting research from animal “models” to human-relevant studies, bringing nutrition into medical education and practice, educating and empowering people to take control of their health through Kickstart, Food for Life, and other nutrition programs. For more information on this program, check out their official website here.

In an interview between the artist and Consequences of Sound, Moby had this to say about his decision to sell his collection; “If I’m aspiring to enlightenment, I try to see it as just sort of like, an example of impermanence.” he says. “You know, like, everything we love eventually goes away. So I’m like, why not be a part of that process and help an organization I really care about?”

In the promotional video below, Moby takes fans a tour around his Reverb LP Shop. “These are all the records that I bought and loved and played and carried all around the world,” Moby says in the video. He shows fans what he will be selling.  At the end of the clip, Moby goes on by saying, “I would rather you have them then me, because if you have them, you’ll play them, you’ll love them, and the money will go to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. So everybody wins. Well, except me, because now I don’t have any records.”

Judging by the countless records being sold, it is a collection that every music lover’s dream.
