Buddy Guy Shares New Song “Cognac” Featuring Jeff Beck and Keith Richards

Iconic blues singer Buddy Guy has released a new song titled “Cognac” from his upcoming new album The Blues Is Alive and Well. The new track also features legendary guitarists Jeff Beck and Keith Richards. ‘Cognac” serves as the third track released from the new album, due June 15th. The new song follows “Blue No More” featuring James Bay and “Nine Below Zero” with both receiving critical acclaim. In “Cognac,” Guy talks about women and his past along and a friend of his who was also a blues artist. Guy then introduces to Richards into the song and plays a great solo with Beck joining in after. Both Richard and Beck switch off solos in the song, making it a great listen.

The Blues is Alive and Well is the follow up to 2015’s Born To Play Guitar, which won “Best Blues Album” at the 2016 Grammy Awards, debuted at #1 onBillboard’s Top Blues Album charts and marked Guy’s fifth #1 album on the chart and twelfth Top 10 Billboard Blues album.
