Charlotte Aitchison who goes by her stage name Charli XCX is a pop chameleon who is back in form with her new single “5 in the Morning.” Teaming up with The Invisible Men, the new song, Charli’s first new music since last year’s Pop 2, is a slow-building pop tune that is destined to be a regular go-to song to hit the dance floor.

She sings about her partying ways, being in her element and using what keeps her up throughout the night, getting a little help with her usual remedies, pills, and potions. She wants those surrounding her that she’s “…goin’ all in / It’s 5 in the mornin’, I’m busy ballin’ / I ain’t even stoppin’.”

Hours before releasing her latest track, “5 in the Morning,” Charli tweeted out that “I am going to release a lot [of] music this year. And a lot of videos. You’re gonna be so fucking sick of me.”

There is no official word on when the long-awaited third album will be on the way, but the singer has kept herself busy. She is currently touring with another pop star, Taylor Swift and working with other iconic stars. With the new single streaming now, fans can relax as well as hit the dance floor a few more times.

Charli has become a successful singer due to her forward-thinking musical output and refreshing entrepreneurial spirit. She is a video director, singer, songwriter, documentary maker, radio host and record label boss. The young British star is a downright Jack of All Trades. She is the award-winning-talent behind the multi-platinum and global #1’s tracks of “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea and “I Love It” by Icona Pop.

Back in 2017, Charli started the year by releasing her ground-breaking and critically-acclaimed mixtapes Number 1 Angel and Pop 2 that featured David Guetta and Afrojack as guest collaborators. With Pop 2, Charlie took full creative control through the entire production by casting, directing and producing the accompanying video for “Boys.” It saw not only her flipping the traditional male gaze on its head but featured an all-star male cast which included Stormzy, Mark Ronson, Diplo, Joe Jonas, Brendon Urie, will.i.am, and more.
