Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell is a Bride on the Run in “Space & Time” Video

English alt-rock darlings Wolf Alice have just released a new music video for their latest single “Space & Time,” the now seventh single and fifth music video from the band’s sophomore LP Visions of Life.

In characteristically irreverent/humorous fashion, the music video features frontwoman Ellie Roswell running from something in a wedding dress, through backwoods and urban alleys. The video, directed by Roswell herself, captures those feelings of in-the-moment anxiety, but not without a sense of catharsis offered at the end of the road.

Singer Ellie Rowsell said that the track is “about being faced with life’s obstacles and knowing that at some point you’ll be looking back on yourself at this moment in time and it won’t be as bad as it feels right now.”

In an interview with Vice’s Noisey, Roswell detailed a funny incident that occurred as she waited for the cameraman on a street, in her wedding dress. “Whilst I was hanging out on my own and waiting for the car to come around the corner, this other car pulled up,” she says. “These two old ladies were like,” [puts on high-pitched voice with an American accent] “‘are you OK, dear?’ and I was like ‘I can’t find my husband.’ And they were like, ‘oh you poor thing, you want a lift?’ and I replied that I was gonna wait until he arrives.”
