Gorillaz Announce Fall 2018 The Now Now Tour Dates

On the heels of their new album Gorillaz have announced they will bring The Now Now Tour to North America this fall, culminating in the U.S. debut of Gorillaz’ very own Demon Dayz Festival, described by The Guardian as the “joyful apocalypse… and carnivalesque festival of great performances.”Demon Dayz L.A. will be comprised of special guests and collaborators from the Gorillaz private and extended circle of friends. Further information on the festival is expected to be announced shortly.

The band began teasing the announcement of an album several days ago, when a website TheNowNow.tv,  launched with teaser video. They also unveiled music from the new album, performing the song “Hollywood” in Lollapalooza Chile, live in front live audience for the first time after mentioning it on social media. Following the release of their latest 5th record Humanz, the most successful virtual band in the world announced that they will be releasing their sixth album, titled The Now Now, for a June 29, 2018 release. They most recently released the track “Humilty” featuring George Benson along with music video spotlighting Jack Black and the band’s animated frontman 2-D frolicking on Venice Beach.

The Now Now Tour will kick off October 8 in Toronto, ON and make stops in Montreal, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Chicago. The Internet is supporting on all headline dates, with Little Dragon joining as special guest for the Boston show.
