Levitation France Announce 2018 Lineup Featuring The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spiritualized and Holy Wave

A lineup has officially been confirmed for the 6th annual Levitation France Festival which will take place September 21 and 22 at Le Quai in Angers, France. Le Quai is a multi-stage event space in the heart of the city that overlooks the Maine River. The venue is across from the Château d’Angers and will utilize a two-stage setup complete with art and video demonstrations as well as different Angers vendors and culture pieces.

The lineup is stacked with artists such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spiritualized, The Soft Moon, Flavien Berger, J.C. Satan, Mdou Moctar, Mien, Holy Wave, La Luz, Rendez Vous, The Blank Tapes and Prettiest Eyes with more to be announced.

Previous lineups have featured artists such as Ben Frost, La Femme, Moon Duo, Holy Wave, Zombie Zombie, The Soft Moon, Quilt, Joel Gion, Woods, Loop, Aqua Nebula Oscillator, High Wolf, The Black Angels, Dead Meadow, Wall of Death, Night Beats and many more.

The festival also takes place in other cities such as Austin (originally called Austin Psych Fest), Chicago and Vancouver while featuring artists like The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala, The Sword, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Dandy Warhols, Chelsea Wolfe, A Place to Bury Strangers and Lightning Bolt.

The festival is put on by The Reverberation Appreciation Society consisting of Rob Fitzpatrick, Oswald James, along with Christian Bland and Alex Maas of The Black Angels. The group also operates The Reverberation Appreciation Society record label and has curated events at Austin’s SXSW, The Netherlands’ Le Guess Who?, NYC’s CMJ and NRMAL in Mexico City.
