Jenny Lewis Announces Summer 2018 Tour Dates

In a tweet, singer Jenny Lewis announced dates for her upcoming 2018 summer tour. According to the official Jenny Lewis website, the dates include performances starting in Nashville, TN, on June 11, with indie singer Karl Blau, and subsequent shows with The Cactus Blossoms and The Cut Worms.

Additionally, Lewis lists upcoming dates in July, August and September with Modest Mouse, Father John Misty, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Iggy Pop, Kraftwerk and Beck.

Lewis began her career as a child actor and later found success with indie rock group Rilo Kiley who officially disbanded in 2014. According to Spin, Lewis released her most recent solo album, The Voyager, in 2014, and in 2016, her trio, Nice as Fuck, comprised of Lewis, Erika Forster (Au Revoir Simone) and Tennessee Thomas (The Like), released their self-titled debut.

In a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, Lewis spoke about her propensity for writing about intimate experiences, like one-night stands, “Sometimes I get a little embarrassed. It depends on the tour. Any one of those lines makes me feel a little embarrassed. But when I meet people, it all seems like it’s sort of meant to be. I kind of put stuff out there — there’s no filter. I don’t ever write with a filter.”
