Lykke Li Releases iPhone-Shot Video for New Song “deep end”

Swedish musician Lykke Li has released the video for the new track, “deep end,” off her upcoming album, So Sad So Sexy, due out June 8. According to Pitchfork, the video, with its wandering eye and selfie-style visuals, was created by the singer during a night out.

Li, born in Ystad, Skane, released her first EP, Little Bit, in 2007. She subsequently released three records including Youth Novels (2008), Wounded Rhymes (2011) and I Never Learn (2014). Pitchfork reports Li has released the first two tracks off the upcoming So Sad So Sexy including “deep end,” produced by Bhasker, Malay, and T-Minus as well as “hard rain,” produced by Rostam.

In a 2016 interview with Pitchfork, Li talks about her philosophy on life, “We only do things that we enjoy. It’s all about art, and music, and family, and love. Nothing else.”
