A Jilted Lover Gets Her Revenge in Violent New Video for Body Count’s “All Love Is Lost” Featuring Max Cavalera

Thrash metal legends Body Count have released the savage video for their song, “All Love is Lost,” from their latest album Bloodlust, released in March of 2017. The track, co-written by Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy), and directed by Jay Rodrigues ( Itchy House Films), explores the intense emotional response following the betrayal of a loved one.

The video, ruthless and bloody, leaves subtlety to the timid, with its strangulation and body bags. Lyrics like, “You did some shit to me that I could never do to you/ ‘Cuase I’m not no fake champ, I’m not no punk bitch/ You’re lucky I ain’t put your ass in some dark ditch/ And now you want some type of sympathy from me now?/ If you were stabbed on the floor I’d watch you bleed out,” offer the ultimate revenge fantasy.

Hip hop pioneer turned actor Ice-T spoke with Consequences of Sound to discuss the band’s sixth album, Bloodlust, and his connection to the streets. “You may have never had somebody kill your kid; you may have never had to watch your best friend bleed out; you DO want to go after them – and they do do it. As bad as that is, there’s a method to that madness. There’s a madness to the streets, but there’s a reason for it. And I think I’m one of the only people that can explain it. And I think that’s my duty.”

Ice-T and Body Count are currently on tour. Check out a list of dates and the video for “All Love is Lost” here:
