Mike Patton Announces Score of Stephen King Netflix Film 1922 for July 2018 Release

The score for the Netflix film from Stephen King  called 1922 will be released July 20 via Ipecac Recordings. The music for the film was created by esteemed Faith No More frontman and all around busy-guy, Mike Patton. This will be Patton’s second time scoring for film after his critically acclaimed work on the 2012 film The Place Beyond the Pines.

Patton is known for staying creative and busy as he has played in many projects along with Faith No More such as Fantomas with Slayer’s Dave Lombardo, Mr. Bungle and Tomahawk. He hooked up with Lombardo again for the hardcore band Dead Cross and released a self-titled album on Ipecac in 2017.

The 1922 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is available for pre-orders, with the collection available digitally and physically on both CD and hardwood colored vinyl, here.  The film is based on King’s story about a man’s confession to his wife’s murder after his life starts to fall apart, primarily in part to his belief that his wife is haunting him.
