Foo Fighters have announced the dazzling line-up for the 2018 Cal Jam Festival including Iggy Pop, Tenacious D, Garbage, Billy Idol and Greta Van Fleet. The festival will take place October 5-6 at the Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernandino, California.
Pop will be headlining the stellar event, along with Foo Fighters, with his Post Pop Depression band featuring Queens of The Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Dean Fertita, and Troy Van Leeuwen along with Arctic Monkey’s drummer Matt Helders.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Pop discusses his Post Pop Depression Collaboration, “I wanted to do something fresh for me, but I wanted it to be something that could and would communicate to the applicable, current music audience. Josh is a valid, current musician that people listen to. So that was important to me.”
The festival line-up also includes acts The Front Bottoms, Deer Tick, METZ, Black Mountain, Silversun Pickups, Manchester Orchestra and Gang of Youths. Additionally, Grohl’s bandmate Krist Novoselic will perform with his new group, Giants in the Trees.
According to KROQ, Cal Jam will also include a number of different activities including outdoor midnight movies, a water park and comedian Tim Hanlon’s Friday Night Comedy Tent. Attendees can also enjoy Carnival rides, the rock-n-roll museum, and food trucks galore.
Cal Jam tickets go on sale via festival website May 17 at 10 a.m. PST.
