Lenny Kravitz has released a tense music video for “It’s Enough.” This follows the announcement that the artist will be performing at Citadel Music Festival and Bourbon & Beyond Festival.
According to Rolling Stone, Kravitz talked about the video in a statement. “People are standing up.” He continues by saying “I’ve had enough of racism. I’ve had enough of war. I’ve had enough of the destruction of the environment and the greed and dishonesty of world leaders. We’ve got to get back on track toward moving forward through higher understanding.”
The song is a part of Kravitz’s upcoming album Raise Vibrations to which he told Rolling Stone that he had faced writers block before the songs came to him. He said “I realized, ‘This is it. This is what I’d been waiting for. And once I started that process, the floodgates opened, and it all started coming out of me. I dreamt the whole record.” The album track list is listed below.
The video is made up of a series of clips that show recent events from both ends. One end shows protests in support of same sex marriage, Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling during the anthem, and Jeremy Corbyn rallies. The other end shows riots, bombings, shootings, police brutality, and environmental damages. There is a trigger warning for viewers as the video contains disturbing graphic imagery.
