FYF 2018 Is Cancelled

While Los Angeles music fans were relieved to see the beloved FYF Fest would return in 2018 after controversy regarding its founder Sean Carlson, that relief was short lived. Just few months after opening ticket sales and announcing its 2018 lineup, the festival has been cancelled.

Billboard reports the festival was cancelled by Goldenvoice due to poor sales. The article also reveals that rumors of the cancellation began last week when booking agents inquiring about replacement dates.

A statement was sent via email, reading:

“Our team of many women and men have worked tirelessly on this event for many years but felt unable to present an experience on par with the expectations of our loyal fans and the Los Angeles music community this year. We will be announcing some special local shows soon, featuring some of the amazing artists from the 2018 line up.”

Ticketholders will be automatically reimbursed beginning Monday, May 7. All service charges and fees will also be reimbursed.

The festival was going to include performers like Florence + The Machine, St. Vincent, David Byrne, The xx, Janet Jackson and more.
