Watch Vampire Weekend Make Live Return with Surprise Two-Song Set

Ezra Koenig, frontman of band Vampire Weekend, was recently a guest on the show “Running Late” along with Nick Kroll and Sarah Silverman. The show is also hosted by Scott Rogowsky in Los Angeles, CA. According to Stereogum, “…the whole band ended up showing up, and they ended up performing, too.” In the same article, the  band reportedly played  Modern Vampires Of The City cut “Unbelievers” and “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa,” from their debut in 2008, which transitioned to a cover of “Here Comes The Sun” Check out a clip taken by an audience member of the band performing “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” below:

The band has also included three new members to their live band with one on percussion, one on keys, and one on lead guitar. They will also be hitting the road this summer, beginning in July at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan and were also recently announced to play the Splendour In The Grass Festival along with CHVRCHES and Kendrick Lamer.
