My Bloody Valentine, the Dublin alternative-rock band, has announced a 2018 summer tour. It will be the band’s first set of live shows in the U.S. since late 2013 when they toured in support of their comeback album, mbv. News of the tour comes after the band released “all analog versions” of their first two albums, Isn’t Anything and Loveless back in January.
The band’s itinerary includes stops at a few festivals including Roskilde festival in Denmark and the Meltdown Festival curated by the Cure’s Robert Smith. The rock band also will play in venues all across the United States with shows in Seattle, Oakland, St. Paul, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York City. Tickets for these shows will go on sale at My Bloody Valentine’s official website this Friday, April 27th at 10 am local time although tickets will be available for the New York show at 11 am Eastern time. There is a presale code available via Brooklyn Vegan this Thursday, April 26th at 10 am Eastern time.
It was revealed late last year that the band is hoping to release a brand new album sometime this year. The frontman and guitarist of the band, Kevin Shields told NPR‘s “All Songs Considered,” that they are indeed creating new material. My Bloody Valentine plans to release two new EPs, the first one set to come out this Summer.
