If there is one thing we all know about Mike Patton, it is that the man is relentless. This year he has already done some mind-blowing live collaborations with the likes of John Zorn and DJ QBert, in addition to his recent scoring of the Netflix Film 1922 and forming an incredible new supergroup, Dead Cross, with Dave Lombardo. Well, South American fans are in for a real treat as Patton has announced two special shows where he will be performing his 2010 record Mondo Cane in its entirety, backed by a 40-piece choir and orchestra. The album features reworked versions of ’50s and ’60s Italian pop music and is one of his unique musical projects. For now, Patton has announced dates in September in Chile and Argentina, though he may end up adding more dates.

Since taking the position as lead vocalist for the legendary Faith No More in the late ’80s, Mike Patton has become one of the most prolific and enigmatic musicians in the world, never standing still for any length of time and always looking to push his musical boundaries. He recently managed to stop by the final Dillinger Escape Plan show to perform with the band. This is not the first time that Patton has performed the record in South America as he stopped by in 2011 with a full orchestra and choir. You can watch footage of that performance in the player below.
