Dev Hynes, the British singer who goes by Blood Orange, has announced his first headlining shows of 2018. Hynes’s itinerary includes sets at a few festivals this summer and fall, including Pitchfork Festival in Chicago this July and Pitchfork Paris this November as well as the Westward Music Festival in Montreal.
Hynes and his band are planning to perform at NYC Central Park Summerstage show in September as well as appearances in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles (Greek Theatre on 9/21), Philly, DC, and Toronto. Tickets for these shows go on sale Friday, April 27th. If you don’t see a city near you, don’t worry. Additional Blood Orange shows will come out. Hynes who tweeted out earlier today says he’s in a “playing shows mood for the first time in years.”
Back in February, Dev Hynes shared two new tracks on Soundcloud called “Christopher & 6th,” and “June 12th.” He mentioned last year that he was 78% done with his new album, the follow up to his 2016’s Freetown Sound. No dates have come out in regards to a release.
