After Returning to Twitter Kanye West Announces Two Albums (Including Kid Cudi Collaboration) for June 2018 Release

In typical Kanye West fashion, the enigmatic rapper-producer has just announced on Twitter that he has two new albums planned for release this June, just days after Drake and Nicki Minaj announced new albums. One of the albums is supposed to be a solo release with seven songs (unusually short from West) and another a collaborative project with Kid Cudi.

Now, it is easy to quickly dismiss West’s announcement as another fruitless rambling that he has become infamous for (where is Turbo Grafx 16? Is this Turbo Grafx 16?). However, it is not often that these announcements have come with a set release date, along with a collaborator.

West’s announcement comes along with his return to Twitter, after he had deactivated his account some time ago after his breakdown. He has since been tweeting pseudo-philosophical inspirational messages along the lines of “Once you start moving in love the universe will assist you” or “Just be still and enjoy your own imagination.”

That is, he was, until he suddenly tweeted a series of announcements. The tweets read, in order, “my album is 7 songs”, “June 1st”, “me and Cudi album June 8th” and “it’s called Kids See Ghost. That’s the name of our group”.

He followed this up with two more announcements which read “Teyana Taylor June 22nd” and “Pusha T May 25th”, before returning to his high-school philosophy and fashion bragging. That being said, it is not clear whether these are Kanye releases or more music to be released from West’s GOOD Music record label.
