Father John Misty Releases Two New Songs “Disappointing Diamonds Are the Rarest of Them All” And “Just Dumb Enough to Try”

The always versatile Father John Misty is scheduled to release God’s Favorite Customer, his fourth album, on June 1st, 2018 via Sub Pop and through Bella Union in Europe. God’s Favorite Customer is a ten track offering that blends soul, alt country and indie sentiments. The record was produced by Joshua Tillman (Father John Misty) and was recorded with Jonathan Rado, Dave Cerminara, and Trevor Spencer.

The album will include the tracks “Disappointing Diamonds Are the Rarest of Them All” and “Just Dumb Enough to Try” which are now available via Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon. God’s Favorite Customer is now available for preorder through Father John Misty’s Official Store, Sub Pop Mega Mart, Bella Union and select independent retailers in the the limited Loser edition on metallic purple vinyl, a standard LP on black vinyl, CD, digital and cassette.

The album is a follow up to 2017s Pure Comedy and Father John Misty has also released the records I Love You, Honeybear in 2015 and Fear Fun in 2012. Pure Comedy was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2018 Grammy’s.

Misty will join The Weeknd, the xx, Janet Jackson, St. Vincent and The Killers for this years Panorama Festival to be held in June at Randall’s Island Park in New York.
