Matt and Kim were huge back in 2009 with their hit “Daylight,” and after a tough 2017 involving injuries, just announced a new album and U.S. tour for 2018. “2017 was not a great year for us,” explained Matt in a press release, “Kim got real depressed during her recovery, and anyone who knows Kim (or has seen her play) knows she’s such a bad-ass upbeat person so it was hard.”
The duo had previously released two songs: “Forever” and “Happy If You’re Happy.” Following the announcement of the upcoming record Almost Everyday, they’ve shared their third single, “Glad I Tried,” featuring Santigold, Kevin Ray of Walk the Moon and Travis Hawley of Night Riots. Join the group as they “count it down about living your best life,” as states the official press release.
Santigold recently appeared on the newest Diplo EP on an upbeat track with Lil Yachty called “Worry No More.” Co-produced by Lars Stalfors and Matt Johnson, Almost Everyday is going to be Matt & Kim’s big return, set for release on May 4th via Fader Label.
