Austin based American heavy metal outfit the Sword has just announced a tour alongside New Jersian heavy metal psych rock band Atomic Bitchwax, which features the powerhouse rhythm section of Monster Magnet.
The Sword just released their sixth album, Used Future two weeks ago on March 28. The band has cited Black Sabbath as a major influence, in addition to doom trio Sleep, sludge band the Melvins, thrash veterans Slayer, and heavy metal icons Iron Maiden and Deep Purple, among others, so make a judgement on them yourself.
The Atomic Bitchwax, or TAB, also released its seventh full length LP, Force Field, last December via Tee Pee Records. The band plays rock ‘n’ roll that takes space rock and proto-metal and combines it into a towering celebration of the pure rock goodness.
Set to launch on June 7 in Albuquerque, NM, the three week trek will run through June 29 in Hot Springs, AR.
