X Japan Recruits Limp Bizkit Guitarist Wes Borland to Perform on Upcoming Shows

Rock band X Japan has recruited Limp Bizkit’s guitarist Wes Borland to play some upcoming shows with the band. The band decided to have Borland play in place of the original guitarist, Sugizo, due to visa issues, according to The PRP. It was also stated that the Gun’s N Roses guitarist Richard Fortus has also been playing with the band at some shows. Borland has confirmed that he will play with the band at their upcoming Coachella shows, taking place April 14th and 22nd in Indio, CA.

The band’s drummer, Yoshiki Hayashi, had disc replacement surgery last year due to his style of playing the drums. Yoshiki experienced severe symptoms including numbness and paralysis in his left hand and arm. He had to go under emergency surgery for his condition and has since tried to record song following that surgery. After 30 minutes of trying, he was not able to record a song. Yoshiki also donated $10,000 to the victims of the recent hurricanes happening across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He stated, “I’m from Japan but I live in America.” He continued to say that “When Japan got hit by the Tsunami Earthquake in 2011, the people of America supported Japan.”

The band is also gearing up for putting out their first new album in 21 years this year. They are currently putting the “finishing touches on it.”
