Jeff Ament, the bassist for Pearl Jam, has released a new solo single called “Safe in the Car,” with vocals from Angel Olsen and his bandmates Mike McCready and Matt Cameron. According to Loudwire, the track will be on Ament’s upcoming solo album, titled Heaven/Hell. This will be Ament’s third solo album, following While My Heart Beats, released in 2012.
“Safe In The Car” has a unique sound, similar to the band Primus and The Black Keys. Angel Olsen bringing light to the song with her vocals. The song is available on vinyl and can be purchased here.
Ament has a busy year ahead of him, as he is also recording a new album with Pearl Jam. It will be the band’s first album since 2013 Lightning Bolts. They have released a track from the album titled “Can’t Deny Me,” a political heavy track focused on President Trump. The band will also be hitting the road this summer playing at festivals and arenas in Europe and North America. The tour will kick off with two shows June 12th and 13th at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands and will conclude September 4th at Fenway Park in Boston, MA. Check out the tour dates below:
