For those unfamiliar with the music of Ghost, they are a Swedish heavy metal band which formed in 2006. By 2010 they released an incredible 3-song demo that was soon followed by their first ever 7-inch record “Elizabeth.” The last of Ghost’s 2010 moves ended in their debut to the world with the full-length record Opus Eponymous. This album earned the band their first ever musical award nomination with the Swedish Grammys aptly titled The Grammis. This nomination as well as their ever-growing popularity resulted in their second full album Infestissumam in 2013. This album debuted at number one across the Swedish Music charts and earned them their first ever Grammis award which titled their album as Best Hard Rock/Metal Album.
In 2015 the band released their third studio album Meliora which brought them to number 8 in metal music in America. This spot on the world stage then brought them to the Grammys for their performance of the lead single of the album “Cirice.” And due to their hard work and raw talent Ghost won their 2016 American Grammy nomination and award for Best Metal Performance.
Fast forward to present day and, now, as according to The PRP, Ghost have released a preview of what seems to be their new single titled “Rats.” Check out the preview below. The video is a thirty second clip of their new song in which their appears to be influence of 80s hard rock and metal. Enjoy!
