Arcade Fire performed ‘Vampire/Forest Fire’ for the first time in 7 years, in front of surprised fans at Manchester Arena on April 8. ‘Vampire/Forest Fire’ was featured on their debut self-titled EP, released prior to debut album ‘Funeral’. The rare live performance comes ahead of the band re-issuing the EP for this year’s Record Store Day.The 2003 track will feature on the EP re-issue, which is a 7-track release on transparent blue vinyl. It also features an older version of ‘No Cars Go’, later re-recorded for 2007’s ‘Neon Bible’.
The band is currently performing on their Infinite Content UK tour, where they have been performing special ‘in the round’ stages to support their fifth studio album ‘Everything Now’. They have started traveling through Europe and will come back to the US during the summer.
The group is also planning a number of festival appearances, including Summerfest Milwaukee, WI on July 8th, Forecastle Festival in Louisville, KY on July 15th and Way Out West and Oya Festival respectively in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 9-11 and Oslo, Norway on August 7-11.
Arcade Fire are also released a short film titled Money + Love, as a visual accompaniment for We Don’t Deserve Love“ and “Put Your Money on Me, both promotional singles from Everything Now.
