American rock band L7 announced their first full- length album in 20 years. The new album’s release is set for February 2019. Along with their new album the band announced a world tour. The band was active from 1985 to 2001 and reunited in 2014. Members include Donita Sparks, Suzi Gardner, bass guitarist Jennifer Finch and drummer Demetra Plakas.
Recently the band released two new singles, “Dispatch From Mar-a-Lago” and “I Came Back To Bitch”. In addition to the release of the two new singles the band also came out with a critically acclaimed documentary, L7: Pretend We’re Dead. Pre-orders for the new album launched today on PledgeMusic. The band is offering rewards including including a raffle to win Donita’s personal recording microphone, which has been used on tour and in studio. Other rewards that fans can win include a signed limited edition “I Came Back To Bitch” 7” with b-side “Dispatch Me From Mar-a-Lago”, vintage and rare L7 vinyl, and a signed turntable from the 1994 “Andres” video.
The band kicks off their national tour April 10th, beginning on stages in NYC, Chicago, Boston, Cleveland and many more. The band will also be playing festivals worldwide. The festivals are located in Download UK, Hell and Heaven Mexico City, ’77 Montreal, Download Madrid. More dates to the tour are to be announced.
According to mxdwn the band returned from a eighteen-year hiatus last September with their song “Dispatch From Mar-a-Lago”, the track was created for the band’s documentary L7: Pretend We’re Dead. The documentary’s initial release date was November 11, 2016.
